The Ministry of Tourism launched a special initiative called Hunar Se Rozgar Tak (HSRT) in 2009-10 for creation of employable skills among youth belonging to economically weaker strata of the society.
The programme is fully funded by the MoT. The basic objective was to reduce the skill gap that afflicted the hospitality and tourism sector. Another objective was to out in place a dispensation to ensure that the economic benefit of growing tourism reached the poor.
