Fee refund policy

Fee Refund Policy of IHM Dehradun

(Academic Session 2025-26)

 

 

Any candidate who has been admitted to IHM Dehradun may send an e-mail at ihmdehradun@gmail.com  for request to cancel his/her admission. On receiving the request from the candidate, Admission office will provide a withdrawal form (Form 1 and 2) to the candidate. The candidate is required to fill in and submit the prescribed forms for refund of fees. The candidate can send an advance scanned soft copy of the signed forms in e-mail of the Institute (ihmdehradun@gmail.com), and the hardcopy through post/courier that should reach IHM Dehradun in three weeks from the date of the e-mail.

 

  1. Verification and Non-retention of Student’s Academic and Personal Testimonials:

 

  • Institute will not insist upon a student to submit the original academic and personal certificates and testimonial like mark-sheets, school leaving certificate and other such documents at the time of submitting admission form.

 

  • It shall be the responsibility of the Institute to ensure that if a student is eligible in a particular course, after physically verifying the original documents at the time of admission in his/her presence, return them immediately after satisfying themselves about their authenticity, eligibility and veracity, and keeping the self attested copies for office record before giving confirmed admission.

 

  1. Remittance and Refund of Fees:

 

  1. Institute shall charge fees in advance for the 1st Semester in which a student is to engage in academic activities and the payment of the fee of the 2nd Semester before start of the 2nd

 

  1. If the result of the 1st Semester was not declared by the National Council for Hotel Management before the start of the 2nd Semester, the student will not be allowed to sit in the classes of the 2nd Semester till he pays fee for the 2nd Student will be given timely reminder for the deposition of the fee for the 2nd Semester, before start of 1st Semester examination and immediately after the completion of the examination.

 

  1. The same rule shall be applicable for future odd and even semesters.

 

  1. The last date of admission will be declared and notified by the IHM Dehradun/NCHMCT Noida on the Website of the Institute.

 

  1. The refund of fees as applicable shall be made in due course and after deduction of the cancellation charges as shown in the table below:

  1. Fees shall be refunded by Institution to an eligible student within Six weeks from the date of receiving a written application from him/her in this regard.

 

  1. This policy will remain in force for subsequent academic sessions until the issuance of a revised policy by the UGC.

 

  1. Remittance and Refund of Hostel Fees:

* Hostel Caution money will be confiscated, if the student leaves the hostel before one year.

 

  1. Cancellation of Admission on Completion of a Semester/Year:

 

  • If a student wants to leave the programme for any reason on completion of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th Semester but without attending any class of next Semester, admission may be cancelled on clearing all dues of last Semester. However, the student shall pay 10% of aggregate fees of the next Semester as processing fee.

 

  • Refund of fee policy as stated herein will be applicable to all diploma/certificate courses.
