Dr. Jagdeep Khanna – Principal

Qualification: The academic career graph accomplishes of Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering followed by Graduate in Humanities, MBA (HR) and presently pursuing Ph.D..

Experience: In brief the career span of 29 years has been the growth from operations to administration. It spreads with orientation and operation with leading chain of hotels. Further, held the positions of head operations and administration with three State Government namely Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The Government of Uttar Pradesh felicitated with ‘Best Pavilion Award’ in Food stall category at IITF, Pragati Maidan,Delhi in 1993.

With the steady growth, got the opportunity to work as Assistant, Associate and Director at prestigious colleges and the leading private university.

I have been an ex-member of the expert team of AICTE and ex-member of Board of Governors of an institute of repute.

I have also published few papers in International journal.

Mr. Manish Semwal – HOD

Qualification: 3 year Diploma in Hotel Management from Govt. Institute of Hotel Management Dehradun in year 1998.

Experience: Had an overall industry experience of around 8 years; was an F&B Executive Trainee with Habitat World at India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi; Had worked with the Uppal’s Orchid an ecotel Hotel in pre-opening team; Had worked with Hotel Inter Continental The Grand, New Delhi in F&B Department; Joined IHM Dehradun since its inception of the first Academic Session 2006

Awards: Best Faculty for sessions 2008-09 awarded by Ministry of Tourism Govt. of India ( Ranked 9th).f G

Mr. Manish Bharti – HOD

Qualification: 3 year Diploma in Hotel Management from Institute of Hotel Management Gwalior in year 1998.

Experience: Worked with Jaypee Palace Hotel, Agra as a Mutiskilled Hospitality Assistant; Amazon Institute of Hotel, Tourism and Management, Dehradun as a Food and Beverage Production Lecturer; Institute of Business and Hotel Management, Dehradun as Head of the Department for Food and Beverage Production Department. Joined IHM Dehradun on 30.11.2009 as Lecturer-cum-Instructor.

Mr. Uday Pratap Singh Chamyal – Sr. Lecturer

Qualification: B.Sc.; 3 year diploma in Hotel Management Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition; Master of Business Management (MBA); Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management; Diploma in Management (DIM); Certificate course in Microsoft Office (MS Office); Direct Trainer Skills (DTS) Course; Design of Training (DOT) Course.

Experience: Worked in Hotel Hyatt Regency, New Delhi for 4 ½ years; Worked in the Institute of Hotel Management, Vidyanagar, Hyderabad for 6 ½ years; Worked in the Institute of Hotel Management, Taramani, Chennai for 2 ½ years; Presently working as Lecturer at the IHM Dehradun since 21st April 2009.

Mr. Gaurav Trikha – Sr. Lecturer

Qualification: B.Sc. in Hotel Management from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, 2003; Did Industrial Training with ITC-Mughal Sheraton, Agra; Also done Industrial Training with Oberoi’s Cecil, Shimla.

Experience: Worked as pre-opening team member with “Radisson MBD Noida” ,Also worked at Executive Level with The Imperial Hotel” Janpath, New Delhi; Had an overall experience of Hotel Industry of 3 years: Have been associated with IHM Dehradun since its inception of first Academic Session in 2006.

Area of Interest: Food and Beverage Service.

Mr. Vivek Kumar – Sr. Lecturer

Qualification: MBA (Tourism) from Alagappa University, Chennai; M.Com from HNB Garhwal University in 2004; B.Com from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut in 2002; Three years Diploma in Hotel Management from Govt. Institute of Hotel Management, Dehradun in the year (1997-2000)

Experience: 3 ½ years Industry Experience and 5 ½ years teaching experience; joined IHM Dehradun on 30.11.2007.

Area of Interest: Bakery and Confectionery.

Mr. Gyanendra Kumar – Lecturer

Qualification: Three year Diploma in Hotel Management from Govt. Institute of Hotel Management Dehradun during 1998-2001 and secured 71% marks. Six months diploma in computer applications. Master in Tourism Management from IGNOU.

Experience: Worked with Jaypee Palace Hotel Agra during 2001-2002; worked with Hotel Imperial, Ludhiana during 2003-2006; Teaching Experience: worked with Culinary College of Hotel Management Dehradun and presently working with Institute of Hotel Management Dehradun since June 2008

Mrs. Savita – Lecturer

Qualifications: B.Sc. in H&HA from IHM Gurdaspur in 2010. MBA in Hospitality Management from Kurukshetra University. Certified Hospitality Trainer from IHM Pusa. Certified Learning Facilitator from NCHMCT, Noida.

Experience: Worked at Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management,
Chandigarh for 4 and half years as Assistant lecturer–cum–Assistant Instructor. Have worked at IHM Panipat as Assistant Lecturer and IHM Ahmedabad as Teaching Associate. Associated with IHM Dehradun since October 2019 as Lecturer-cum-Instructor.

Mr. Sunil Pant – Lecturer

Qualification: B.Sc in H & HA from Institute of Hotel Management Gurdaspur in the year 2005. Masters in Hotel Management from (UOU) 

Experience: Worked with Radisson Jalandhar as a Front Office Executive. Asst. Operation Manager, The Residence Group of Hotel. Represented Uttarakhand Tourism from Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Ltd. as D.G.M. in the first ever South Asian Games held in Auli in 2011. Associated with IHM Dehradun as Assistant Lecturer-cum-Instructor.

Mrs. Rajani Mandal – Lecturer

Qualification: B.Sc. in H&HA from IHM Pusa, New Delhi in 2003. Pursuing Masters in Tourism from IGNOU

Experience: Joined as GMT at ITDC Unit The Ashoka, New Delhi. Worked as Housekeeping Manager at The Ashoka, New Delhi a unit of ITDC till 2012.

Mr. Anup Singh Patwal – Lecturer

Qualification: Four Year Degree in HM & CT from Ram Institute of Hotel Management Dehradun in the year 2007. Master in Tourism Management from IGNOU. Certified Hospitality Trainer from Institute of Hotel Management Pusa, New Delhi.

Experience: Worked with Oberoi Cecil Shimla as a Front Office Executive. Front Desk Officer Hyatt Regency, New Delhi. Last Assignment with IHMS Kotdwara as Faculty Front Office. Associated with IHM Dehradun since 2012 as Assistant Lecturer-cum-Instructor.

Mr. Himanshu Chauhan – Assistant Lecturer

Qualification: Four Years BHM Degree in Hospitality and Hotel administration from Graphic Era University affiliated to HNB Garhwal University (Batch 2006-2010)

Experience: Currently working as an Assistant Lecturer with Institute of Hotel Management Dehardun under the aegis of NCHMCT Noida.   Worked with The Leela Groups of Hotels at Leela Kempinski Gurugram as a Japanese kitchen Chef (2011-2014). Worked with Raddison Blu Noida (2010-2011) as a chef in cold kitchen. Worked with Ambassador Sky Chef Flight Caterers as a commis in Continental kitchen (2010-2010).  6 month industrial training with Taj Residency , Lucknow.

2018 Teaching Associate qualified. Masters in Hospitality Administration 2018 IHM Pusa (NCHM). Bachelors in Hospitality & Hotel Administration 2016 IHM Mumbai (Dadar Catering College).

Experience: Associated with IHM DEHRADUN as Assistant Lecturer since
October 2019. Worked at IHM Bhopal as Teaching Associate from July 2018 to October 2019.

Operations), Management, Motivation and student engagement.

Qualification: B.Sc. in H&HA from IHM KOLKATA in 2016. M.SC from IHM

Experience: Worked at IHM GWALIOR as Teaching Associate for 1 YEAR (2018-2019). Associated with IHM DEHRADUN as Assistant Lecturer since October 2019.
